Our Mission
The Alabama Veterans Affairs Association (AVAA) is committed to its founding principles established in 1974, dedicated to supporting the educational professionals who serve our military students and their families. As the oldest nonprofit organization of its kind, AVAA provides comprehensive training and networking opportunities for professionals administering educational benefits for Veterans and other eligible individuals. Our mission is to foster effective communication, develop outreach and recruitment programs statewide, study and enhance existing regional programs, and advocate for new legislation at both the state and federal levels that benefit Alabama's veterans and their dependents. We prioritize openness, providing a platform for veterans and clubs to openly discuss issues, propose solutions, and strengthen our collective support network. AVAA is unwavering in its dedication to serving those who have served our nation.
